Grants available for digital projects in South Yorkshire

Grants available for digital projects in South Yorkshire

Grants are now available for digital projects that drive productivity in South Yorkshire. These are funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and currently available to any SME with a rateable address in South Yorkshire. Some of our customers will be familiar with these from the previous ERDF funded scheme, fortunately if you applied successfully through the old scheme you are still eligible through the new scheme.

How do the grants work?

There are two grants available, the Digital Innovation Grant and the Productivity Grant. Both are match funding so you will receive up to 50% of the total value of the project, so your business needs to be able to fund half the project.

The Digital Innovation Grant offers between £2,500 and £5,000 (so a total project value of £5,000 to £10,000). This must be used to pay for a digital project and the total value of the project must not be greater than £10,000.

The Productivity Grant offers between £2,500 and £12,499, however the total value of the project can be up to £125,000. So for a £12,000 project you claim £6,000, for a £25,000 project you could claim £12,499, and for a £40,000 project you could still claim £12,499.

How can Ferrio help?

We have several customers who benefitted from the previous ERDF funded scheme. We're familiar with the process, so can ensure a project meets eligibility criteria.

Our Hubware platform connects systems and apps, sharing data to where it is needed, and also provides a central place for data for reporting and analysis. We provide comprehensive implementation services to ensure you are getting the maximum return on investment on our platform.

What we can do for you breaks down into three key areas:

  1. Reporting and analysis - our Hubware platform makes data available from every system and application in your business for rich reporting.
  2. Integration - on top of making data available for reporting, Hubware makes data available to every other system in your business so your data is kept in sync. You can even integrate into 3rd party systems such as supplier stock systems or client CAFM systems.
  3. Automation - any process that is completed on a computer can be automated. We can do more than just moving data between applications and into reports, we can also transform data within the applications you use and extend their functionality.

What could a grant cover?

Pricing data projects generally requires time and it's hard to provide flat fees, but we're not afraid of giving ballparks.

A Digital Innovation Grant was enough to fund a three way orders & stock integration between Linnworks, Salesforce and Sage 50 for one of our Sheffield based customers.

A £25,000 Productivity Grant project was enough to cover a comprehensive Hubware implementation for a 200 employee company, connecting data from 3 major systems. This also covered the delivery of a series of detailed KPI reports in Power BI which can be shared with clients as well as used internally. On top of data availability for reporting and analysis, this Hubware implementation enabled those 3 systems to share data in real time, saving their back office teams hundreds of hours.

As we build on our own platform, we can deliver for less than half the market rate for bespoke development. Our platform fees are a fraction of the cost of building a data warehouse. Why? We believe that businesses of every size should benefit from the cutting edge in automation and analytics.
